Event Highlights
In March 2023 the Studio Ultra team visited OFFF Barcelona at Disseny Hub. This was the 22nd in person OFFF festival, the first since the pandemic and all of the team were excited to go. For some of the team it was a return visit having attended in previous years and for others it was the first time attending.
We enjoyed talks from David Carson, Kelly Anna, Gavin Strange, Jamhot, Not Real and Ash Thorpe. The festival gives us a great opportunity to network, keep up to date with the latest trends and happenings and come away with inspiration for future projects.

Personal Experiences
The overall atmosphere is great at Dissney Hub, and the festival itself is full of Offline/Online designers, Motion Designers, Thinkers, Sound Designers, Graphic Designers, Theorists, Developers, Professionals and Students. It’s great to mix and network with others in our industry.
Barcelona is also a great location and wonderful city, we were able to enjoy some great meals and Tapas whilst we were there. The Ultra Studio attended and stayed with friends who are also in the industry, we stayed just outside of the gothic quarter and it was great to have social time together before and after the event.

Reflections & Takeaways
We all left OFFF Barcelona 2023 feeling inspired to create, it was really refreshing to be able to network with others and hear from the key speakers at the event. There was a lot of talk around artificial intelligence and if and how it will impact our industry, the main takeaway here was to use AI to our advantage when possible but it still feels a way off from actually replacing our roles as creatives. AI is more of a tool to be used to speed up our own creative ideas, and the mundane tasks we as creatives have to endure sometimes. Hopefully this future will allow for more time on ideas, and the actual creation.
